JQF: JPEG Quantization Table Fusion

Here is the demo site of paper JQF: Optimal JPEG Quantization Table Fusion by Simulated Annealing on Texture Images and Predicting Textures. We present the side-by-side comparison of JQF method and standard JPEG table in terms of compressed size, PSNR, and FSIM. With quality set at 80 or above, our method reduces the JPEG size around 13.69% to 19.52% while visually indistinguishable compared to standard table. The proposed JQF method achieves per image optimality for JPEG encoding with less than one second additional timing cost. Visit our GitHub page to get the code and try on your own image.
